(COSEL CO., LTD.) announced the launch of a new generation of high-compact power supplies for industrial use, the TE series. The TE series features advanced technologies such as wide-gap gallium nitride semiconductors, high-frequency planar transformers and enhanced flyback topologies, including 45W (TECS/TEPS45F) and 65W (TECS/TEPS65F), with installation areas of 1 x 2.3 (TEPS) and 1 x 3 (TECS) inches, respectively. The 12V and 24V output versions are designed to withstand peak loads, providing 140% power and up to 93.5% efficiency. Available in two models (with pins (TEPS) or connectors (TECS)) with compatible mounting areas for easy system upgrades. The standard product is delivered in an open frame with optional dust-proof housing.
To meet the market demand for a smaller installation area in industrial applications, Coso designers have combined the latest technologies to introduce high power density power supplies with high efficiency and high reliability. With long experience in high-efficiency topology design, the research and development team at Corso has developed a highly integrated power stage using wide-band gap (WBG) gallium nitride (GaN) semiconductors associated with high-frequency planar transformers. Taking advantage of the performance advantages of gallium nitride (GaN) in high-frequency switching, 45W and 65W of power was achieved on a 1x2.3 inch (maximum 25.4 x 58.4mm) mounting area with an efficiency of up to 93.5%. The TE series has a flexible design and is available in two interconnect models: TEPS (with PCB-mounted pins) and TECS (with crimped JST connectors). For both models, the installation area of 45W and 65W is interoperable. This feature simplifies layout and provides upgrade options, and is favored by system designers. Corso also takes into account the need to minimize the size of the power supply, using vertical assembly technology, combined with switching frequencies up to 800KHz, to save approximately 58% of the board area compared to traditional technology, while maintaining a high level of power conversion efficiency three percentage points higher than traditional products. The TE series is designed for global applications with single-phase input voltages ranging from 85VAC to 264VAC and meets safety standards in the 100VAC to 240VAC (50/60Hz) input voltage range. TECS/TEPS45F and TECS/TEPS65F offer three fixed output voltages of 5V, 12V and 24V, with power up to 45W and 65W, respectively. To accommodate the surge current associated with DC motors, capacitor banks and other applications, the 140% peak current option (H) will also be introduced in 2024 for the 12V and 24V models. The TECS/TEPS45-65F uses an optimized switching topology to achieve up to 93.5% efficiency at 230VAC and rated load conditions. The operating temperature of the above products ranges from -10 ° C to +70 ° C and can be installed in any direction, but the derating may be taken according to the ambient temperature and the surrounding environment. The product has 3,000VAC input-output insulation voltage and a maximum leakage current of 0.25mA, according to IEC62368 standard. Corso's TECS/TEPS45-65F power supply is suitable for Class II equipment and provides low noise performance without grounding. The TECS/TEPS45-65F also focuses on energy-saving details, with no-load power consumption as low as 200 milliwatts. Designed for demanding applications where space is limited, TECS/TEPS sizes (W x H x D) are: TECS45F: 25.4x23.5x76.2mm (1.00 x 0.93 x 3.00 inches), TEPS45F: 25.4x24.0x58.5mm (1.00 x 0.94 x 2.30 inches), TECS65F: 25.4x27.0x76.2mm (1.00 x 1.06 x 3.00 inches), TEPS65F: 25.4x27.5x58.5mm (1.00 x 1.08 x 2.30 inches). For applications that require dust protection, a model with a plastic case, Option (N), will be available in 2024. TECS/TEPS45-65F complies with UL62368-1 and c-UL (CAN/CSA-C22.2 No.62368-1 equivalent), EN62368-1 safety certification. The products also comply with the provisions of the Japanese Electrical Products Safety Act DEN-AN. The TECS/TEPS45-65F has a wide range of applications for measuring and analytical equipment, machine tools, industrial printers, display equipment and ticket machines. Products comply with the requirements of the RoHS and Low voltage Directives and carry the CE mark and UKCA mark. The 45W and 65W of Corso TECS/TEPS use the latest power electronics technologies (e.g. gallium nitride, planar magnetic components) to save up to 58% of the board area for industrial applications. |
